Recipe: 5 Layer Dip

Need to whip up something super easy and quick?  You cannot go wrong with the 5 Layer Dip.  This is perfect for any party you are hosting or potluck you are attending.  Just hit up the grocery store and pick up a few items.  Here is my simple recipe from bottom layer to top:

Layer 1: Cooked Ground Turkey (1.25 Lbs.) or Refried Beans (3 16 Oz. Cans)

Layer 2: 24 Oz of Chunky Salsa

Layer 3: 16 – 24 Oz of Guacamole (My Choice: Authentic Yucatan Guacamole)

Layer 4: 16 – 24 Oz of Sour Cream

Layer 5: 2 Cups Shredded Mexican Four Cheese

Spread each ingredient evenly.  Depending on what you or your guests may like, you may adjust the amount of each ingredient.  For example, I always put more guacamole than sour cream and my guests prefer ground turkey over refried beans.  You can also add jalapenos and/or olives on top of cheese.  Your choice 🙂

I usually use a aluminum catering tray (Half Size – 12-3/4″ x 10-3/4″ x 2-9/16″).  This way, I can just toss after the party or I don’t have to worry about bringing my dish back home.  However, if you feel like being fancy … Feel free to use any serving dish that is the size of a half size aluminum catering tray.

Hope you and your guests enjoy this simple recipe … Don’t forget the chips!
